Data Deletion Request
Thank you for using PrismScan and prioritizing your privacy.
PrismScan stores scan history and optional notes locally on your device, which you can delete directly within the app. We do not collect personally identifiable information (e.g., names, email addresses) unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., via support inquiries). However, our app uses third-party services (Google AdMob for advertisements and Google Firebase for crash reporting and analytics) that may collect non-personally identifiable data, such as device identifiers or usage statistics. This page explains how to request deletion of data collected by these third-party services.

How to Submit a Data Deletion Request
If you wish to delete data associated with your device collected by third-party services (AdMob or Firebase), please follow these steps:
- Send an email to our dedicated support address: prismscan.com@gmail.com.
- Include “Data Deletion Request” in the email subject line.
- In the email body, provide your device identifier, such as:
- Android Advertising ID: Find this in your device settings under Google > Ads > Your Advertising ID.
- iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): Find this in Settings > Privacy > Tracking > Identifier for Advertisers.
- Any other information that can help identify your device (e.g., Firebase Instance ID, if available).
Data Types and Deletion Process
We will process requests to delete the following data collected by third-party services:
- Firebase data, including crash reports (e.g., stack traces, device state) and aggregated analytics (e.g., app installs, sessions, geographic regions).
- AdMob data, including device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID, IDFA) and ad interaction data (e.g., views, clicks).
Local data, such as scan history and optional notes, can be deleted directly within the PrismScan app and does not require a deletion request.
What Happens After Your Request
We will process your deletion request within 60 days of receiving it, though we aim to complete most requests sooner. In some cases, third-party services (e.g., Google AdMob, Firebase) or legal requirements may impose additional retention periods, which we will communicate if applicable. Once processed, we will confirm completion via email. Note that data deleted by third parties cannot be recovered.
